Efforts to restrict its trade, ostensibly borne of concern for public health, often turn out upon closer inspection to be economic manipulations to ensure certain parties are enriched at the expense of others. The current situation in the UK is an example – the nation is now the world’s largest producer and exporter of medicinal cannabis , while the general public suffers under extreme restrictions on access to medicinal cannabis. Why the conspiracy theories about cannabis are nonsense
(Alcohol, Cannabis, Development, Egypt, Events, Germany, Greece, Hemp, Japan, Media, South Africa, Turkey) In order to justify and maintain the ban on cannabis, many untruths have been propagated over the last 100 years which are now gradually being exposed one by one. People who have become aware of this tissue of lies through their personal experiences mistrust even the most serious representatives of the political world or the media, whenever the topic hits the political agenda. As there are few rational, logical reasons for the ongoing ban, and as the prohibition is based on an admittedly unusual series of events, some people suspect there is a conspiracy of large companies and politicians or other interest groups behind the ban. No Facts Like some other conspiracy theories such as the claims of Nazi flying saucers in the Arctic, the hollow earth theory or the American earthquake machine in Japan, the worldwide cannabis conspiracy has no basis in fact. The conspiracy theories surrounding cannabis all arrive at the same point as most of these obscure chains of logic: A minority – and...

10 Rare Diseases That Cannabis May Treat
(California, Cannabis, CBD, Development, Georgia, GW Pharmaceuticals plc, GWPH, Illinois, Management, Production, Research, Topicals, Turkey, United States, THC, Patents, Pharmaceuticals) Tuberous sclerosis complex A rare genetic disorder that causes benign tumours to grow within the brain, eyes, and other vital organs. Global prevalence of 10-16 in 100,000 Usually diagnosed during infancy or childhood. Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) can cause autism, epilepsy, developmental delay, behavioural problems and various other symptoms, although symptoms vary widely between individuals. In TSC, genetic mutations alter the expression of two proteins, hamartin and tuberin. In healthy individuals, these two proteins work together to control various aspects of cell growth, division and death, and act as tumor growth suppressors. In TSC, the two proteins are inhibited, allowing unchecked cell growth and ultimately the formation of tumours. The endocannabinoid system is deeply involved in cases of TSC. Research has suggested that children with TSC show abnormally high expression of CB?-receptors during early brain development. It is well-known that the EC system plays a crucial...
